How SeaHiveX collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Who we are
SeaHiveX (the “Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a B2B marketplace operating at seahivex.com connecting buyers and suppliers across Southeast Asia.
The Platform is operated by Win Global Ventures & Services Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar with offices in Yangon. Visit our parent site at winglobalventures.com.

2. What information we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Buyer inquiries: name, email, phone, company name, message content, quantity requested, the product or supplier you contacted.
- Supplier accounts: business name, contact name, email, phone, company description, country, city, logo, and (during verification) business registration documents, factory photos, and bank account details.
- Reviews: ratings, written reviews, and recommendation indicators you submit.
- Communications: messages you exchange via our inquiry threads or support channels.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referrer URL, pages visited, timestamps.
- Cookies: session tokens (authentication), preference cookies (selected language and currency), and basic analytics cookies.
2.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from Cloudflare (security and bot-detection signals), and from search engines or referral sites that link to SeaHiveX.
3. How we use your information
- To deliver the service: route buyer inquiries to suppliers, host supplier profiles, process verification submissions, store and display reviews.
- To improve search and matching: we use Anthropic Claude AI to interpret natural-language queries and classify product categories. Only the search query and product titles are sent to Anthropic — never your personal data.
- To communicate with you: send transactional emails (when email service is enabled), display in-app notifications, respond to your support requests.
- For trust and safety: verify supplier identities, detect fraud, prevent spam.
- For analytics: understand which pages and features users use, to improve the Platform.
- For legal compliance: respond to lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement in Myanmar and other applicable jurisdictions.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:
- Suppliers you contact: when you send an inquiry, the recipient supplier sees your name, email, phone (if provided), message, and quantity requested. This is the core service — we cannot connect you without sharing this.
- Buyers who contact a supplier: if you are a supplier, buyers who inquire about your products see your business name, location, tier badge, and contact details listed on your public profile.
- Service providers: Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, security), Anthropic (AI search), Zendesk (customer support widget), and future email/payment providers. These vendors process data on our behalf under data-protection contracts.
- Legal authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers: if SeaHiveX is acquired or merged, data may transfer to the new owner subject to this policy.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies:
- Essential: session tokens for supplier login, magic-link inquiry tokens.
- Preferences:
lang and currency cookies remember your language and currency choice.
- Analytics: Google Analytics (if enabled) and Cloudflare analytics for aggregate, anonymized traffic data.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features (login, preferences) will stop working.
6. How long we keep your data
- Inquiry messages: retained for 3 years after the last activity, then archived.
- Supplier accounts: retained for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months after closure (for audit and legal reasons).
- Reviews: retained indefinitely as part of the public supplier record, unless removed for policy violations.
- Technical logs: 90 days for security and debugging.
7. Your rights and choices
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Object to certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
- Export a copy of your data in machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@seahivex.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We protect your data with:
- HTTPS encryption on every page (TLS via Cloudflare).
- Password hashing using industry-standard algorithms (PBKDF2 with per-user salt).
- Session tokens with secure JWT signing.
- Magic-link tokens that are 32+ character random strings (unguessable).
- Access controls limiting who at our company can view personal data.
No system is 100% secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify affected users without undue delay.
9. International data transfers
Your data may be processed outside Myanmar because Cloudflare and Anthropic operate global infrastructure. By using SeaHiveX you consent to this international transfer. We use providers that maintain industry-standard data protection practices.
10. Children's privacy
SeaHiveX is a B2B platform intended for business users. It is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes (new categories of data collected, new third-party recipients) will be highlighted on the homepage for 30 days.
